Socioemotional Wealth and Entrepreneurial Orientation in Different Family Businesses’ Generational Stages

This study investigates the association between SEW and EO, considering moderating role of generation that is involved in family businesses, EO might benefit from entrepreneurial affective attitudes first generations. We collected a survey with final sample 107 firms textile clothing manufacturing industry Brazil. As data analyses, we employed variance-based structural equation modeling using SmartPLS. Our results provide evidence positively associated EO’s three dimensions: innovativeness, proactiveness, risk-taking; however, only found moderation effect generational stage for relationship innovativeness risk-taking. show high on risk-taking stronger later generations than For higher levels level seems to be relevant later-generation firms. contribute literature antecedents focusing differences stages. also provides insights into how can nurture during different developments, family-centric nonfinancial goals.
